The GEAR of Eden: C(lemintine) P(its) T(ickle)

A CPT [Charged Particle Thrower] or MCPT [Modified CPT] is the standard in hand projectile weapons. They can be used to stun or kill and opponent based upon the mass and charge of the projectile. CPTs can be of any size or shape as the actual thrower is a tube 1mm in diameter and 7mm long. This is often worked into a wieldable weapon of some sort - a long tube, a gun, etc.,.

Samis Sunbads, an assassin, hasa CPT with a naturally larger bore as it is intended for snipering.

Zerstorer's MCPT

The pistol is a standard stunning weapon which has been retrofitted with a CPT [Charged Particle Thrower]. Now, the knife he could pass off as a curiosity (if ever discovered by port authorities) as it is not on any legally banned list. The CPT retrofit, however, is highly illegal without the impossible-to-acquire permit-to-carry. That's why there's a metal ammo pushrod behind the metal accelerator chamber. Before relinquishing the weapon, Zerstorer may legally request to activate the 'safety'. Pushing the ammo rod forward then actuating the safety activates a vacuum. The vacuum galls the metals thereby destroying the accelerator and any solid proof of its existence.

Samis' CPT

Kneeling in the shadows, he keeps one hand on his CPT [Charged Particle Thrower], which is, of course, highly illegal. His CPT doesn't have a pistol grip; it's just a tube with an outer diameter of two centimeters with a 2 mm bore. The compact barrel is two decameters long. Legs fold down and the barrel telescopes for sniper shots, but he would be using it close range today.
